The new retail hub would contribute to the convenience, vibrancy and success of Springwood through:
Providing the opportunity for more residents to shop closer to home, and in turn keeping more spending within the Springwood economy
Providing convenient access to groceries to meet current community needs, as identified by Council’s strategic plan
Creating permanent jobs for more than 100 people, including opportunities for young people in Springwood, together with 100 construction jobs
Quality building design that complements the historical significance of the area
The proposal would complement the current town centre, meet the demands of the current population and provide a more convenient shopping opportunity for the Springwood community, close to home.
